Premiers' Reading Challenge 2022

The Premiers' Reading Challenge finished on Friday 2nd September. Students spent the last few months reading and adding books to their challenge profile.

It is great to see 14 students successfully complete the challenge this year - certificates and prizes will be given out next term and these students will be invited to our End of Year Library Celebration. Amazing effort!

Melton Library Short Story Writing Competition

Some of our students participated in the Melton Libraries short story writing competition this year. Look out for an update when the Winners are announced - we're hoping it is one of our students. Good luck!

Student Library Assistant Program - Update

Cameron, Orlando and Kevin have been busy helping in the Library during recess and lunchtimes as part of our Student Library Assistant Program. Students have so far completed modules including Orientation, Shelving, Customer Service, and Loaning out books. Next term these students will start working on Displays, Helping with Lunchtime activities, Unboxing and receiving new books, Adding stickers to new books.

Genre Highlight - Humour & Sport

These books are available in our school library. Each newsletter we will highlight two of our genres.

Book Week 2022

During Book Week we held a number of exciting activities in the Library, including The BFG movie; Ultimate Book Week Kahoot quiz; and Collaborating Colouring project.

Students that participated received a raffle ticket for our end of Book Week raffle. A number of students received a prize in our raffle.
