Plain English Speaking Award - State Finalist, Sean Courtier

On Friday 22 July, Sean Courtier  (M12) competed in the Plain English Speaking Award (PESA) State Final at the Wheeler Centre, Melbourne.

One of only seven state finalists, Sean had progressed through to both the Regional and Semi-final rounds to compete in the State Final, winning against more than 150 Victorian students that had entered the competition.

Sean presented a pre-prepared speech of eight minutes (memorised!) on the topic of ‘Navigating Politics at a Young Age’, as well as an impromptu speech of three minutes - with only four minutes of preparation time - on the topic of ‘A New Start’.

Well done to Sean on all of his hard work and dedication made toward this highly impressive achievement, of which he should be incredibly proud!
