A note from Mr Jackson

Teachers’ Day of Learning
While students stayed at home on Wednesday, teachers gathered to explore the significance of student wellbeing at Rosanna Primary School. Using information gathered during one on one interviews with students, along with data from the Attitudes To School Survey and our own local student survey, teachers drilled down to common wellbeing threads of understanding regarding our student cohort. They were able to plan and consider common strategies to support a healthy learning culture.
Working Bee Invitation
All are invited to join us on Saturday morning between 9:00am and 12 noon for our termly Working Bee. This is an opportunity to shift some fresh mulch, replace some garden edging, do some blowing of our paths and playgrounds, clear some drains, as well as do some pruning. Everybody is welcome whether they can stay for an hour or all morning. Bring along your sturdy shoes, a pair of gloves and the generosity of spirit. There will be a barbecue at 12 noon to feed the hungry workers.
Your Voice Counts
As we step into 2023, I am conscious that it will be a year of review. Every four years the school sets aside time to review its strategic plan and shape its direction for the coming four years. You are invited to share your thoughts about Rosanna Primary School in the annual Parent Opinion Survey. Details of how to participate can be found on Compass. One response per family is invited. The information that we gain will help formulate the strategic plan and the future of Rosanna Primary School. Contact the office if you are having trouble accessing the survey, it is available in a range of languages. A reminder that the survey will close on the 19 of September.
Don’t Miss Out
A quick reminder that our concert ticket purchases close next Friday. Once that date is finalised, further ticket distribution will begin to take place. There will be no further opportunity to express interest in buying extra tickets. We encourage all families to join us for what will be a memorable evening in term 4. If you require support in making your booking please contact the office.
Enrolments For 2023
A final reminder to any parents in our community who are still wishing to enrol their 2023 Prep student for next year. As we finalise our numbers, we look forward to clarifying our grade structures and staffing. Clarity around enrolments is essential to ensure the school is fully staffed. Please let us know if you are intending to move or know of friends or neighbours who are planning to enrol but have not yet completed the documentation.
