Old Orchard Primary School Fete

Saturday 12th November, 10.30am - 4.30pm

Students and staff are becoming very excited about our upcoming fete.  It is always a wonderful day that the children enjoy immensely and is a fantastic way to further build connections with our school community.

All classes have now been allocated either one or two stalls to run on the day.  Rosters will be created closer to the date, but we hope all families are able to assist on their class stall for an hour or so.

We will be calling for various donations in the lead up to the fete.  Many items cannot be requested too far in advance (such as chocolate bars for our Chocolate Toss game), however we will try our best to space these requests out as much as possible.

The first donations we are calling for are soft toy animals (new or as new).  One of our Year 1 classes will be running an exciting new stall we haven’t had at our fete before – Animal Rescue.  It will give children the opportunity to select a cute and cuddly soft “rescue” animal from a play pen.  After selecting their perfect pet, the new owner will receive an ownership certificate and carry bag.  Donations of soft toy animals will be gratefully received at the office.

Attached is a list of the class hampers.  Each class has been allocated a theme for their hamper (eg. Baking, BBQ, Books) and items donated will be packaged into lovely hampers to auction off at the Silent Auction.  Each classroom has a basket for donations to be placed in.

We will be starting our Treasure collections on the following dates:

Monday 10th October           Thursday 13th October

Monday 17th October           Thursday 20th October

Monday 24th October           Thursday 27th October

Monday 31st October           Thursday 3rd November

Please bring unwanted, excellent condition treasures to the entrance of the gym from 8.45am until 9.00am.

For those who are interested, there are many ways you can become more involved with our fete – from jam making, plant growing, wrapping of hampers or assisting with art projects.  If you would like to become more involved, we warmly welcome any assistance you can offer.
