Year 7 Ceramics

The 'Clay Characters', were students own choice.

 A task to build student's modeling and painting skills.

The 'Slab Animals' were inspired by the Artist Bruno Gambone. 

Students designed a template and cut clay slab shapes and assembled their chosen animal.

Media Unit 1

The Unit 1 Media students took part in a photography workshop run by Steph Wood, from the Photography Studies College. In this double period session students were guided to replicate an existing image. How they replicated it was up to them. Students were guided and encouraged to look beyond the subject matter and to identify how the images were created; through composition, lighting and even the mood or feeling of their prompts. 

Overall  they were very successful and this workshop assisted in their development of compositional skills as well as camera use. Ultimately giving them some preparation for their folio assignment.
