Parents & Friends' (PFA)

The end of the year is fast approaching! We have quite a bit going on in November and December so we look forward to catching up with everyone at our events.

Sunday 13th November is our final Working Bee to give the school a quick polish before the flood of visitors voting in the State Election. It won't take long to clear the leaves etc. If are able to help please come along. Bring your gardening gloves and tools if you have them and don’t forget the sunscreen! Times: 1.30pm – 2.30pm or 2.30pm – 3.30pm.

We have given the Operoo list of responses for the day to Greg Stewart. Greg has been our Working Bee Coordinator for some time and this is his last Working Bee! Come and be a part of history in the making and give Greg a pat on the back (and maybe a cold drink) for all his efforts over the years.

On Election Day, 26th November, you can vote at the school. While you are there, why not serve up a sausage or two? The BBQ and Cake Stall are always good fun and the gourmet cakes are a bargain! Speaking of cakes, be ready to get your Betty Crocker on and turn out one of your family favorites! We’ll organize cake plates in the week leading up to the election. Full details and the sign up roster are available at: https://www.trybooking.com/CEDIU

Come help St Anthony's win the best democracy sausage!! ( https://democracysausage.org/ )

To finish the year the PFA will be hosting the BBQ and Christmas Hamper Raffle at the Carols night on the14th December at the school.

While you are blocking out your diary please make a note of the final PFA Committee Meeting and our AGM on Tuesday 29th November. The regular meeting will be at 7:30pm before the AGM at 8pm in person at the Padua Pavilion.

The AGM will be to elect a new committee for next year.

The PFA Constitution calls for the following committee members to be elected:

● President (or Co-Presidents)

● Vice President (where there are Co-Presidents, optional)

● Secretary

● Treasurer

● At least three elected General Members. In addition to these formal roles we also appoint Class Liaisons to help with communications and coordination of activities.

We hope to be “live-in-person” at the Padua Pavilion but if that is not possible we’ll go ahead via Google Meets. The General Meeting Agenda will include discussion of  4th term events. There is a separate agenda for the AGM.

Regards,

The PFA Committee
