Children's Christmas cards on sale from Monday

Our School of Wonder children have been busy creating Christmas cards to sell, with proceeds going towards the college's Christmas giving tree. Cards will be available from college reception from Monday, November 14 at a cost of $1 each or five for $4.

Wheels Wednesdays wheely fun!

School of Wonder children learned about road safety in a fun and practical way over the last couple of weeks by taking their bike or scooter to school to practise riding along a course set up on the college grounds on Wheels Wednesdays. Before excitedly heading out on the course, the children were involved in road safety learning sessions with their Pastoral Group Leaders.

It's time to celebrate our learning!

A celebration day will be held in the School of Wonder on Tuesday, November 22, to celebrate the learning children have achieved in Italian classes during terms three and four. A 'restaurant' will be set up where children will use the Italian language skills they have learned to order a pasta dish from 'restaurant staff' - Year 10 Italian students who will also practise their Italian language skills by taking the children's orders. During Term 3 children expanded their Italian vocabulary and were engaged in cultural learning with a pasta theme.

This term children have been practising their Italian numbers and colours by engaging in learning activities based on the upcoming FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Children have been researchers by finding out the locations of the countries participating in the World Cup, their languages and flags. They were very excited to recently draw a country in the School of Wonder World Cup Sweep. Sweep sheets are on display in the children's learning spaces and they have been encouraged to follow the progress of their country during the World Cup which runs from November 20 to December 18. To celebrate their learning, children will participate in a 'World Cup' festival with Skillzone for their Physical Education session on the celebration day. Children are welcome to come to school dressed in the colours of their sweep country or in their favourite soccer team colours.
