A SPECIAL POSTCARD FROM AMSTERDAM

Earlier this week, Angelina Curtis (Year 9 Normandy) flew to Amsterdam to attend the Septimius Awards after being nominated for Best Oceanian Actress for her performance as the lead role in WA feature film, Cherubhead, which was also nominated as Best Oceanian Picture. Angelina and her mum have had quite the experience since landing and sent through this great postcard.

"We're here in Amsterdam the morning after an epic night that I can't quite believe or put into words?! Angie was so honoured to be nominated for Best Oceanian Actress for her lead role in WA feature film Cherubhead. The film was also a nominee for Best Oceanian Picture. No win, but what a night! We met Oscar and BAFTA winners Kevin Wilmott, Christopher Hampton, Nina Hartstone and sat in the most stunning heritage theatre among literally the most diverse film award nominees in the world - the purpose of the Septimius Awards in Europe's most diverse and accepting city. It is televised tonight in Europe, and she had a TV interview about her role in the film on Monday. Very exciting!"

Wow - congratulations Angie. We can't wait to hear more about your experience when you land back in Perth.
