Creativity takes courage. Henri Matisse

Hello RHPS Artists,

It has been a jam packed term with our Grade 3-6 artists and they have been an absolute pleasure to teach.

Their creativity and willingness to try new things makes our classes extremely rewarding, with amazing art pieces created.

Due to our super short term, our grade 5/6 students still have some work to do on their modroc African animals but we will get these completed and to finish off our term, next week we will be glazing our magnificent stoneware mugs. They will be fired and sent home in term 3 for you to use and enjoy.

The grade 3/4 students have fully immersed themselves in our African unit. The quality of the artwork has been amazing and we have covered so many skills, such as painting, drawing, stamping and clay.  I am very proud of the way they encourage each other and compliment their peers work.

Here are some of the 3/4s working on their Maasia Tribe artwork and some special inspiration kindly brought in by Lachlan B, Thank you!

Next term we welcome back our junior artists to the art room where we will be jumping into Book Week inspired clay projects and a wonderful array of African inspired art.

Enjoy the winter holidays, a perfect time to make some art and relax.

Keep Creating,

Mrs. Granger
