Book Fair

Thank you to our amazing school community we have been rewarded with $856.50 in scholastics rewards from our book fair!!!! It was fantastic seeing so many students and parents getting excited about the book fair. This money will be going towards new books in our Non-fiction area. These are just a couple of new books we have already been able to purchase.

Over Due Book Notices

Monday 20/6/2022 I will be sending home over due book notices. If you do receive an overdue notice and the book is not at home don't worry it may be in your child's book boxes in their classrooms. Teachers do ask students to check their boxes but sometimes they get missed. Students are more then welcome to have books over the holidays to read.

New Take Home Readers

Check out all of our new take home  readers. We have been very busy in the library this term  getting these new resources ready for term 3. We are so delighted to be able to offer new take home readers to our younger students.

Book Review

This fortnight book review is by Isobel R and her teacher Ms McCandlish

Sorry Day

Author  Coral Vass

Illustrator Dub Leffler

This picture book is a moving account of Sorry Day from the perspective of two generations of the one family. Each page alternates between past and present, and recounts the day the Australian Prime Minister made an apology on behalf of all Australians to the Stolen Generations.

This book would be suitable for grade 3-6 students and above as some of the images might be confronting for younger readers. I would recommend this book for teachers too- an excellent resource around Sorry Day each year.

I give it 4 out of 5 stars

Ms McCandlish

I liked the illustrations and how it was set in the present and the past. The events were similar, I recommend this book to older students because they would understand more.

 I give it 4 stars!
