Professional Learning

Recently, the Leadership Team engaged in Professional Learning presented by Dr Selena Fisk. Dr. Fisk works with schools to access and understand the data they have, and to increase the understanding and the ability of staff to gather and use data, in order to best serve students. We look forward to analysing our data, determining areas of strength and need and working with Dr. Fisk to improve our student outcomes.

Year 5 Step Day at O'Connor 

Last Thursday, 23rd June, the Year 5 students attended Step Day at O'Connor Catholic College. Students had the opportunity to get a taste of what high school is like and meet teachers and other students from a range of local schools. Year 5 participated in lessons including PE, Writing 4 Fun, Praxis and Art. Everyone enjoyed the day and wished that they could start high school already! The Year 5 students will have the chance to visit O'Connor again next year. Thank you to Miss Martin for accompanying our students. 

NAIDOC Week Celebrations

Last Tuesday whilst Parent Teacher Interviews took place, students from Kindergarten to Year 6 participated in NAIDOC themed activities. Students learnt about the significance of NAIDOC week, researched famous Indigenous Australians and historical events, created Aboriginal Artworks and enjoyed Dreamtime Stories.

Australian Mathematics Competition

Entries for the Australian Mathematics Competition are due tomorrow Friday 1st July. If your child is interested in participating in the Maths Comp this year please return the permission slip sent out.
