We thank you Lord, for this term.

For the challenges, the successes, and the mistakes from which we have learnt.

Be with us as we spend our time with family and friends.

Give us strength and courage to do what is right; to be witnesses of our faith.

Help us to be a practical Christian these holidays, to appreciate what others do for us, to give time and effort to help others, to be peacemakers in our family.

Keep us safe in our activities; give us good rest and good fun.

Bring us back refreshed and ready for a new term.

We thank you for our classmates, teachers, parents and a community that cares for us. May we always be conscious of you in our lives.

Amen

Term 2 finishes this Friday.  I cannot believe how quickly this year is going.  As I begin to find my feet in the NSW education system and within the Diocese of Armidale, there are a few core groups that I would like to thank.

Firstly the staff and students of St Mary of the Angels, Guyra.  It has been a learning journey for all of us and one that has been made easier by the brilliant community within the school.

Secondly, the staff external to the school and still within the Diocese of Armidale for the numerous phone calls to correct, clarify or confirm my understanding of 'the way CSO Armidale' works.

Thirdly, to my leadership team, Miss Tiffany Martin and Mrs Matilda Hunt.  The robust and challenging conversations, the deep dive into "what makes SMOTA tick", the direction that we want this amazing school to head in...knowing that everything we do as a leadership team is for our students... Thank you.  I could not do this without you.

Lastly to the parents, thank you for acknowledging that as professionals, we know our jobs/tasks best.  Thank you for knowing that everything we do is for the growth academically, pastorally and socially of your child/ren.

Thank you for remembering that although we adore your children and our jobs, that "out of school hours" are for our own families and our own wellbeing and that professional conversations are for school hours only.

Thank you for knowing that the growth of your child/ren can only occur through a positive  partnership bound by mutual respect.

Thank you for continuing to trust the education of your children into our care.

Have a wonderful two week break with your children as our staff prepare for Term 3.

God bless, travel safe and return on the 18th of July bright eyed and bushy tailed.

Congratulations
