Year 2/3 GS Thunder

Thunder ended the season last Term with a thrilling game against the Cubs in the Grand Final, winning 20-2. Thunder defended well all game and were able to take advantage of several turn-overs to maintain their sizable lead. We also said farewell to Rowdy and Jessica and thanked Coach Daniel for his time and effort in coaching the team last season.

Scorers: Ronin (10 pts), Hunter (4 pts), Rowdy (4 pts) and Raewyn (2pts).

This Term we welcomed several new players to the team, William, Marcus, Tyson and Jashandeep. Thunder made a great start to the season with a win against St Aggies 12-10. It was a very close game throughout, with Thunder scoring the final winning points in the last 40 seconds of the game. It was great to see the team all working together and supporting each other on court.

This week we continued with our winning streak against the Eagles, defeating them 22-2. Our defence was greatly improved this week, with our players putting a lot of pressure on the opposition. Jonte, Tyler and Hunter were strong on offense and Anhad was a stand-out in defence, with some great steals. Our new players William, Tyson, Marcus and Jashandeep all showed more confidence on court this week and improved dribbling and ball handling skills. Great effort Thunder!

Year 2/3 GS Rockets

The GS Rockets had a bit of a slow start against the Pedare Boomers Wednesday afternoon.  We went in at half time down 1-9.  The team lifted their intensity in the second half and kept the opposition to just one basket. Despite an improved second half, the Rockets went down 7-11.

Scorers: Eden (5 pts) and Layla (2 pts).
