All students attending St Louis de Montfort's Aspendale have the right to feel safe. The care, safety and wellbeing of children and young people is a fundamental responsibility of all within our school.
The St Louis Athletics Carnival is fast approaching. The multi disciplined event will be held on Tuesday 21st June at Dolamore Reserve, Mentone. Our first event is scheduled to start at 9.30 a.m. and our last, the 800 m races, will finish at 2.30 p.m.
Students will compete in sprints, hurdles, long jump, high jump, discus and the shot put. Our spirit house leaders have trialled students at school for the 4 x 100m relay teams and there is also a 800 m at the finish for those with any remaining energy.
Our students are encouraged to wear their house colours to add to the colour and festivity of the event. They also need to wear their sports gear and bring a water bottle, lunch and snacks. I suggest a small back pack is a better option than the school bag.
Thank you to the parents who have volunteered to help us on the day. If anyone is available for an hour from 8.15 a.m. to help us set up the marquees, hurdles, high jump pits etc, please email me.
