Junior Library Assistants

At the beginning of each year, students are asked if they would like to become a Junior Library Assistant. Due to the disruption caused by COVID-19, these fabulous students have only just received their badges. As part of their role, the Junior Library Assistants help return and borrow books, read to younger students, help students find books, help create book displays and assist in the Makerspace area.  Their role is invaluable to the smooth running of the Learning Centre.

Scholastic Book Club Issue 6 must be returned by Wednesday 2 September. In an effort to reduce unnecessary contact, I highly recommend using the LOOP ordering system https://mybookclubs.scholastic.com.au/Parent/Login.aspx

The Premier’s Reading Challenge finishes this Friday 28 August.  Please ensure all lists are completed by then.  If you are having any issues, please don’t hesitate to contact me

Book Week this year will look a little different due to COVID-19.

Students will still have their Book Week Parade, however, due to the directive to minimise student interaction this will now take place in their classrooms.  Awards will still be presented for Best Dressed with photos being taken of the winners.  These photos will be posted on our communication platforms.
