Term 2 - Week 8

STUDENT REPORTING

Once again an enormous thank you to our families who are supporting their child's education through participating in the Student Led Learning Conferences. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive, and as a fellow parent I thoroughly enjoyed sitting down with my children and their teacher to hear specifics on their learning.

Formal semester reports with, a five point grading scale, will be available to parents through the Compass Portal in Week 10. The report is designed to compliment the Student Led Learning Conference, with neither being viewed in isolation.

FIRST EUCHARIST AND THE SACRAMENT OF PENANCE

Congratulations to the 71 St Nicholas School students who joined candidates of the parish in receiving the Sacrament of Penance (Reconciliation) last night. This weekend the same students will also receive their First Eucharist (Holy Communion).

These two Sacraments of Initiation are significant milestones for these children and their families. I thank everyone involved in supporting the students throughout this special time.

TAMWORTH EISTEDDFOD

St Nicholas School's participation in the Tamworth Eisteddfod commenced this week with Year 5 competing in the Vocal Choir Section. Click on the general news tab for a small report. Best of luck to all the St Nicholas School students who will be competing in the coming days.

PT&F PIE DRIVE FUNDRAISER

Thank you to the St Nicholas School PT&F for the coordination of the 2022 Pie Drive. With the cold weather, these pies could not have arrived at a better time.

Have a great week.
