Wow, Term 2 has flown by and what a busy and exciting term it's been!

The term started off with a special celebration of our hardworking Mums with children participating in our Mother's Day concerts.

Our service partnered with the school in a fundraising effort to raise money for flood-affected kindergartens in the Lismore area of NSW. It was so much fun to come to kinder with crazy hair! Thank you to families for your support.

We were then very fortunate to welcome a new teacher and educator into our team - Yushan and Kristy. They dove straight into getting to know their new children and working with families to meet their children's needs and goals.

We are settling into our brand new outdoor space, with the mud kitchen becoming a favourite spot to be, especially with the wet weather providing lots of mud for murky soups and drinks!

On that note, the change in seasons, from autumn and now winter, has been a huge source of inspiration and learning for children. An autumn experience was installed, which was the source of lots of shrieks of laughter, and then as the weather turned colder we explored concepts such as temperature and snow. These wonderings were explored through various Arts and STEM experiences.

We also began our  Stay and Play program this term. It's been fantastic to welcome families back into our rooms. Thank you for your ongoing support of our programs.

The Mandarin language program has been focusing on fruits this term, which led to the creating of some delicious, healthy snacks for the children to try!

The teaching teams also participated in an incredibly valuable professional development day, the learnings of which we will be incorporating into our programs.

Whew! Children, families and educators have earned a well-deserved break and we look forward to seeing everyone again after the break for another thrilling term!
