Program
This course introduces students to the theories and practices necessary for a vocation in make-up. The first year covers design, applying and removing make-up, photography and camouflage makeup and providing service to clients. The second year covers eyelash extensions, fantasy make-up, airbrushing and the running of a business. The student kits have industry standard professional makeup and tools which they are encouraged to use on models outside school time.

Course Outline

Course Outline
At the completion of the Certificate III in Music Industry (Technical Production), students will be able to:
- Work under supervision in live and/or studio audio in a local environment
- Work safely, maintaining work/contractual relations
- Understand the way the music industry functions

Program
This course has been specifically designed to provide an introduction to the overall skills and knowledge required to undertake a career working in a Parks and Gardens setting. The parks and gardens industry expects this qualification to be achieved to meet job outcomes at this level.
In order to successfully undertake the qualification candidates need to possess English language and literacy competence that will enable them to provide clear information, ask questions, listen to and understand instructions, and communicate effectively with others.
Training and Employment Outcomes
The Certificate II in Parks and Gardens is undertaken as a School Based Traineeship in the workplace. Delivery is via blended learning, which is a combination or workplace based structured training and learning and self-directed learning. Specifically, trainees will complete 6 hours of training in the classroom, 7 hours of paid employment/structured on the job training per week, and up to 6 hours per week of self-directed study over 32 weeks. On completion of the 1 year program could allow students to proceed into the industry as an apprentice in the following areas:
- Landscape Construction - training in this program can provide transferable skills which are also relevant to apprenticeships in:
- Parks and Gardens
- Water Connection and Management
Special Requirements
- Parks and Gardens horticultural work may involve lifting and walking/standing for long periods of time, therefore students should have the physical capacity to do this.

Program
The VET in Schools Certificate II in Plumbing (Pre-vocational) offers students partial completion in a fully accredited course specifically designed for people who want to enter the plumbing industry or to prepare for entry into a plumbing and gas fitting apprenticeship.
Classes are conducted using a mixture of practical and theoretical sessions and it is expected students will arrive for class equipped with safety boots and overalls.
Training & Employment Outcomes
This course provides students with a clear pathway to employment in a plumbing apprenticeship. Students will gain some credit for the schooling component of their training. Completion of the program may increase employment opportunities.

SWL is not mandated in this program, however the VCAA strongly recommend all VET students undertake some work placement.

Program
This VCE VET Program is like no other. Not only will you learn the skills and competencies to work with horses, but you will also engage in a psychological and physical wellbeing program to support you through your teenage years and life’s challenges moving forward into adulthood. The qualification provides an introduction to working with horses with a focus on the racing industry where there are vast employment opportunities. You will learn how to work safely with horses, basic horse husbandry and care and how to understand equine behavior. This qualification also allows for specialization in sectors or roles including stable hand or groom in an equestrian or racing stable, stud hand in a breeding operation, track maintenance and office administration. This qualification will also meet the licensing requirements to work in a racing stable in Victoria.
Delivered by qualified trainers and assessors and mental health practitioners who have extensive experience working with horses and in the racing industry, you will learn how to work with horses to enrich their lives and provide them with the best possible care. You will also learn how these incredible animals can help us learn how to live a healthier life. You will also be given the opportunity to build a network with leading industry professionals who can assist with your future employment.

SALON ASSISTANT - VCE (VET)

Program
This program will offer the student the opportunity to undertake a Certificate II qualification while completing their VCE studies. Students will attain the skills of a first year apprentice, practical skills for styling, removal of chemicals and basin services and undertake theory studies in client communication.
The program articulates to Certificate III Hairdressing (apprenticeship), and provides the knowledge and skills to assist students in gaining employment in the hairdressing industry.
Structured Workplace Learning (SWL)
40 hours industry placement to be organised in consultation with Chisholm Institute. If students are unable to source the placement, they will be able to access Chisholm Salon days. (Salon days may not be scheduled on the same day as the VET program).
Pathway
Articulates to Cert III Hairdressing (apprenticeship). Possible job outcomes exist as an
apprentice hairdresser.

Program
This course will prepare the student for further study in all visual and creative art fields. The course concentrates on creative thinking, design principles and arts practice theory. It explores drawing techniques including observational drawing, 2D studies including painting and printmaking techniques, 3D studies and photo media (Adobe Photoshop). All teachers of the course are practising artists who bring years of creative thinking and practice to the classroom.
