Wellbeing Report
Education Week
Thank you all who participated in acknowledging Education Week with us. For the parents/carers who returned the activity of ‘where you went to school’, we enjoyed reading them as we put them up on display. To those parents/carers who took the time to copy photos and send along, thank you, as many of you are ex students and the resemblance between some parents and their children is amazing. Staff enjoyed writing about their school experiences also. We had a steady stream of families visiting after school each day. The older uniforms were a popular item to look at for families and students. Classes visited the display across the week and had time to look closely at some of the items. We do have a lot more memorabilia, so as we approach our 100 year birthday, it will be exciting to display more of the history of our school.
Dress Code Policy
From time to time we need to remind families that we have a Dress Code Policy. We would like to encourage families to read it with their child/ren to remind them what is part of our dress code and what is not. We acknowledge that some of the junior sporting clubs have very similar ‘hoodies’ to our Year 6 styles, however it isn’t part of our dress code and the Year 6 ‘hoodie’ is a special item of clothing for their last year of school and they should be the only ‘hoodies' we see at school.
If you are having difficulties with purchasing uniform items, we have our second hand uniforms or you can contact me to access State School Relief in supporting the purchasing of new uniforms. Our Policy is linked below:
