Rubbish Free Lunch Day
Sunday the 5th of June is World Environment Day, which is the United Nations day for encouraging worldwide awareness and action to protect our environment. To mark this day, the Year 3 and 4 Sustainability Leaders have asked that students across all year levels participate in a ‘rubbish free lunch’ day.
On Tuesday the 7th of June we ask that students try to have a rubbish free lunch, or take their rubbish home. We are hoping that if students leave their rubbish at home, it can be disposed of properly and will be prevented from entering the school grounds.Litter in our school yard has been an ongoing concern, with some rubbish even finding its way into the chicken coop.
We look forward to working together to care for our school environment.
Kind regards,
Krystal and the Year 3 and 4 Sustainability Leaders
