Level 5/6
Level 5 and 6 News
There is never a dull moment in Level 5 and 6 at Rangeview! The past few weeks have seen our Level 5 students sit their Naplan assessments in Writing, Reading, Conventions of Language and Numeracy. As this was the first time the assessments were completed online it was a whole new experience for everyone involved. We are so proud of the way our students approached the tasks each day and congratulate them all for their fabulous efforts.
Level 6 participated in a SEDA open day at Nunawading Basketball Stadium this week where they thoroughly enjoyed spending the morning participating in various activities and fine tuning their sporting skills. They represented our school exceptionally well and demonstrated great team work, determination and growth mindset for many of the activities.
We were lucky enough to spend a session working with the Cyber Safety Project and loved learning about how to take control of our own digital safety and wellbeing. Level 5 and 6 explored the topic of Integrity through managing respectful relationships and acceptable social protocols online.
Our Classes have also been participating in several lessons using The Resilience Project learning framework and have enjoyed being challenged and motivated to learn about their own wellbeing, mindfulness and each of their individual character strengths. This is becoming a lesson that the students look forward to each week as they can share their thoughts and support each other in a calm and safe environment. It is lovely to see them working through team challenges and combining their strengths to overcome the problem set out for them. Well done and keep up the fabulous work Level 5 and 6!
