PSSA TENNIS
Last week Max Judd travelled to Sydney to compete for the Polding squad at the PSSA Tennis Championships in Rockdale in Sydney. Max sustained an injury on the second day of the competition and was unable to compete in the last few games. The Polding squad placed 8th overall.
ARMIDALE DIOCESAN CROSS COUNTRY
On Friday 46 children travelled to Barraba to compete at the Armidale Diocesan Cross Country. The weather was beautiful and St Nicholas achieved excellent results. All children finished the course and we had 7 children who placed in the top 6 and gained a place in the Armidale Diocesan Cross Country team to compete at Eastern Creek on Tuesday June 7th 2022. These children are Jessie George, Bailey Maher, Kobi Wadwell, Cohen Jones, Oscar McMurtrie, Myles Manning and Lachlan Mulligan.
The 8/9 year girls, 8/9 year boys and 10 year boys were awarded the overall team trophies. This is based on the children who ran and where they placed.
DIOCESAN RUGBY AND CRICKET TRIALS
Nominations are now being taken for the Armidale Diocesan Rugby and Cricket trials. This is for children in Year 5 and 6 only. If you wish your child to be considered for these trials please email either Mrs Tyrrell or Mrs Maher to express your interest.
The Rugby trials are on Monday 23rd May 2022 in Tamworth and the Cricket trials are on Friday 17th June 2022 in Tamworth.
A team can be entered for the Rugby however only 6 children can be nominated for cricket and Year 6 will be given priority for these places.
FIELD EVENT TRIALS
This term, athletic field event trials will commence during sport time. High Jump will be done on a Friday in Weeks 3, 4 and 5.

Friday 12th August - Diocesan Athletics Carnival (Tamworth)
