Pupil Free Day

During our Student Free Day on the last day of Term 1, the staff engaged in professional learning on the topic of Inquiry Learning with a focus on STEM. This was led by our deputy principal, Graham Wegner, who has many years of experience in this area and introduced a particular framework for Inquiry Learning known as Design Thinking. Inquiry Learning is a cycle of learning that builds on students’ questions and interests, and combines several learning areas to explore real world issues. This is in line with our school vision so you can look forward to your child talking about ideas like hexagonal thinking, feedforward, project nests and prototyping.
