Despite the relaxation of some COVID-19 restrictions, government regulations continue to specify that students and staff members that show any flu like symptoms must isolate at home until asymptomatic. It is a mammoth task for our Health Care Clinic to effectively monitor and care for our students, liaise with day-school and boarding families and link our students with external care providers.
When accessing our Health Care Clinic and liaising with Health Care clinic staff, it is important for our students to be patient, respectful and co-operative. On behalf of the entire school community, I would like to acknowledge and thank our Health Care Clinic staff for their tireless effort and continued support of our students through these turbulent times.

This week we held a special assembly to provide important information to students about the risks associated with vaping. Mrs Litchfield, Head of Science, delivered an exceptional presentation to the Senior School covering the many types of E-Cigarettes (aka “vapes”), harmful chemicals and materials contained in vapes, addiction, and the harmful impacts that vapes have on the body.
Students have been encouraged to learn the facts and understand the risks associated with vaping. Important reminders have been issued to students that the School must take a hard line with students who choose to engage in negative, risk-taking behaviours, such as vaping, in the school community.
Special thanks to Mrs Litchfield for the many hours of research and preparation given to providing our students this vital learning experience.

There is currently a significant amount of unclaimed lost property in the Senior School. Students are encouraged to access the lost property bins inside the gym and outside the dining hall to collect lost property items. At the end of week 5 there will be a collection of unclaimed lost property. These items will be donated to ‘KWS for Kusmwati’, a KWS community led charity collecting second hand old KWS uniforms to be donated to the Kusmwati school in the Ramechhap district of Nepal.
