Cookbook launches Monday!
Hi everyone,
Cookbook launch Monday!
Monday will see the launch of the long-awaited school cookbook, “Brighton Bites: Recipes from our tables to yours...”. If you’re able to join us at 9AM assembly and see 750 chef-hatted children in the gym, please do. Local chef George Calombaris will join us for the festivities. Thanks to the teachers for helping make the chef hats (and Michelle Gibson for masterminding the concept and design!).
It’s an incredible achievement by the cookbook team, lead by parent Caroline Webber. To celebrate the culmination of a year’s work, next week is Food Week. Watch Compass for details of the pop-ups taking place in the Groundz cafe.
And remember to pick up your pre-ordered copy of the cookbook from Groundz next week, at drop off or pick up. Books can be purchased on Qkr! for $30 a copy. If friends and relatives wish to purchase cookbooks, please direct them to Compasstix:

Christmas mince pies & tarts
Bakers Delight Brighton has partnered with BPS to provide parents with an opportunity to purchase mince pies and lemon curd tarts AND give something back to the school. Head to Qkr! to order half a dozen pies or tarts for $10. $2 from every order comes back to our school. Orders close Friday 13 December and deliveries will be on Tuesday 17 December. Please place your order via Qkr!
Class lists for 2020
After orientation day on Tuesday, you’ll receive an email from me requesting your consent to include your contact details in a 2020 class list. The school requires us to undertake this process so we’re going to try and make it as quick and easy as possible. Thank you in advance for your cooperation.
Thank you class reps of 2019
Finally, I’d like to take a moment to acknowledge and thank the parents who were our class reps this year. They’re still ‘on the job’ organising teachers’ presents, and for the past 11 months they’ve been incredibly supportive of teachers, parents and PFC activities. Great job everyone! Hard shoes to fill but if you’ve got any interest in supporting parents and teachers in your class next year as a class rep, please drop me a line: fob@brighton.vic.edu.au
