Acknowledgement of Country
We would like to Acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the land on which we have worked to create this news, the Wiradjuri People. We extend this Acknowledgement to all Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Peoples who may be reading this news and pay respect to the local Aboriginal Land on which our audience are accessing this publication. We Acknowledge that this Country always was and always will be Aboriginal Land.
On March 21, the Junior School was filled with an afternoon of scientific learning, fun and magic at the Science Circus Show held in the DPA in Period 6.
This high energy show allowed all the Junior School (both students and teachers!) to make great connections to our science learning in physics and biology. The presenter used lots of science laws to create magical illusions. Our favourite was when the presenter got Mr Jones up on stage, made him put on a pointy party hat and then made a plate balance and spin on his head! This example helped the audience understand Newton’s law of gravity.
When the clock struck 3pm, it was time for the circus to wrap up and for the students to roll on home. We had a great time at the Science Show and thank all those involved in making the afternoon such a wonderful success.
We want to take this opportunity to congratulate all Year 6 Leaders on their formal leadership induction held in the DPA on April 1st. We wish you all the best and look forward to learning from you.
