TWIG

On Thursday 24 March the TWIG group had another great afternoon out at Windermere, making beeswax wraps and some yummy bruschetta for a snack.

We were straight to work making the beeswax wraps after a little explanation from Ms Howarth who works out at the farm. We picked our piece of material and cut it into the size we wanted it to be. We melted some of the beeswax to pour over the material. Then we drizzled some melted beeswax over the piece of material which was in a frying pan. We let them set to be able to take them home. Beeswax wraps are much better for the environment because they are recyclable and are not made from plastic and you can use them repeatedly.

After all that work, we were treated with a yummy snack - we made bruschetta using some tomatoes, garlic and basil from of the garden! They were delicious. With our tummies full, we went back on the bus to school and look forward to what next week brings.
