Music Camp

Music Camp provided a wonderful three days of outdoor activities, intensive rehearsals and camaraderie.  Students from Years 7 to 12 worked together to develop some excellent ensemble playing in Orchestra, Concert Band, Stage Band and Chamber Strings.

Thank you to the large number of family and friends who attended the end of camp concert in the DPA.  Thank you also to our expert staff members Katie Sinclair, Sebastian Key, Peter Stevens, Katherine Howarth, Heidi Anthony and Lorraine Moxey who ran rehearsals and outdoor activities during camp; thank you also to our amazing Music Administrator Sharon Martin, who managed logistics and kept everyone well fed.  Finally, thank you to our wonderful music leaders Ben Hoskins-Murphy, Sally Carter, Ellen Arundell, Will Englund, Stephanie Wong, Eleanor Vials, Isaac Birmili and Greta Bourne who looked after their teams and helped behind the scenes to make Music Camp such a success.

Overture: Stars Under the Stars

Annabelle Van Wyk, Isobel Wong and Stephanie Wong recently performed in Overture: Stars Under the Stars in the recently completed Cooke Park Pavilion in Parkes.  This event had a 150 piece choir and full orchestra, which included students from regional NSW.  Concertmaster for the orchestra was Year 11 student Stephanie Wong – a wonderful honour for a fabulous violinist. These students had the privilege to perform alongside professional musicians and share the stage with musical theatre royalty, Lucy Durack and Josh Piterman.  Brava Annabelle, Isobel and Stephanie.

AMEB Examinations 2022

AMEB Exams are a great way to encourage your child’s musical development by creating a tangible goal to work towards each year. Exams are also an excellent performance opportunity that recognises a students’ progression and achievement through structured grades.
