Dear Parents and Friends,
Wow! Term 1 has moved quickly! P&F meetings have been well attended and the switch to a face to face/zoom meeting format has definitely made it easier for parents to attend, especially boarding families.
The P&F Year Group Representatives have commenced planning events such as picnics and dinners and some of these have already taken place. Thanks to the representatives for kicking this off with so much enthusiasm. Your Year Group representative will be in touch soon if they haven’t already. See below for some pictures of the recent Year 4 and Year 6 Family Picnic at Lake Canobolas.
On Sunday 3 April, Kinross Wolaroi families from Year 4 and Year 6 came together for a family picnic at Lake Canobolas. We were incredibly fortunate that it was a spectacular weather day in Orange. Families brought their own picnics and we hosted some good old fashioned picnic games for the kids, with an Easter colouring-in competition, a lolly hunt and tug of war. The kids also played cricket, swam in the lake and enjoyed the kayaks and stand up paddle boards.
Parents loved the opportunity to reconnect as well as meet new faces and it was a brilliant opportunity to finally put faces to the names of the many children across the two year groups. Mrs Denise Hayward attended and parents enjoyed the opportunity to meet and speak with Denise in such a relaxed setting. Overall, it was a wonderful way to finish the term and we look forward to holding further engagement events throughout the year.
As Year Group Co-ordinators we would highly recommend Lake Canobolas as a brilliant location to hold a Kinross Wolaroi year group event.

The P&F President and select members of the Executive and Representatives including myself attended the Open Day on Friday 25 March. It was lovely to get back on site and enjoy the group atmosphere once again.
The major whole school fundraising event this year will be the a Kinross Wolaroi School Trivia Evening, which has been booked for Friday 5 August at the Orange Function Centre. Please save the date and stay tuned for more information next term.
The AGM was held on Wednesday 16 March. All motions were passed with majority support for the revised Constitution, P&F Fee increase and P&F Fund raising targets and items. The draft minutes may be viewed below.
The audited 2021 Financial Report was not available for circulation prior to the AGM in March and the Association’s consideration of the report was postponed to the May meeting.
An Extraordinary General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 11 May to consider the adoption of the Financial Report, just prior to the ordinary meeting, being held the same night. Please find the 2021 Financial Report and Treasurers report attached:
