Principal's Message

Dear Students, Parents, Carers and Families,

SPECIAL FOOD DAY

There was a delicious smell of pizza wafting through the school on Thursday 7th April as our Friends Of Maramba (FOM) Volunteers served pizza, drinks and a cookie to all the students who chose to participate in this fun lunch option opportunity.  Certainly, a lovely way to celebrate the end of term.  The big smiles on the students faces definitely confirmed the pizzas were tasty!

HOT CROSS BUN FUNDRAISER

Constantly sharing great ideas with the school community our FOM volunteers also concluded the term with our very popular annual ‘Hot Cross Bun’ drive.  Their efforts in organising activities such as these allow us all to connect as a community; something we all cherish as it supports our school.

FOM is made up of a group of committed parents who enjoy organising fun social opportunities for our school community. If you are interested in joining this vibrant social group please call the school office.

On behalf of the students and teachers thank you FOM volunteers for all for all that you do for our school.

SCHOOL CROSS COUNTRY

Congratulations to all of the students for their participation and competitiveness in last Friday’s cross country event. It was a great success and it was amazing to have so many parents and carers who were able to support the event by being stewards around the 1 kilometre course. 

Superb effort by those students who were the top 10 place getters in each of the following age groups 8/9/10 Years boys, 8/9/10 Years girls, 11 Years boys, and 11 Years girls who have qualified to represent Maramba at the District level competition.

A special thank you to Miss Thompson for organising a successful school event!

THANK YOU FOR TERM 1 

Thank you students, parents and staff for an amazing first term of 2022! It is actually an amazing achievement as it is the first time in 2 years that we have completed the first term without a lockdown.

I would just like to take this opportunity to thank all the students, parents, carers, friends of the school community and staff in the many ways you have supported our school events this term:

• Student leadership naming ceremony
• Harmony Day celebration
• School Cross Country
• Foundation BBQ
• Special food day
• Hot cross bun fundraiser

Even though we haven’t been completely back to the way things were pre-Covid, it has been a great start for the year ahead. It is great to see the strength of our community supporting each other in many different ways. This is one of the things that makes our school and community so great!

On behalf of our amazing Maramba staff, I would like to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday and look forward to seeing everyone back at school for Term 2 on Tuesday 26th April.
