Secondary

Solidarity Fridays

As members of a strong supportive Catholic community, we are called to support those in need – to stand in solidarity with those impacted by the recent floods in New South Wales and Queensland. For a $2 donation Secondary students will be able to wear their House uniforms each Friday for the remainder of this term.

Year 11 Visual Arts

These stunning artworks were produced by Year 11 General Visual Art students. Their task was to reimagine one of artist Del Kathryn Barton’s portraits using watercolour, acrylic, paint and fine-liner pens. Students in this class will soon be creating their own large scale self-portrait in Barton’s style, whilst incorporating flora and fauna symbolic of their personal experiences.

Campion Day

From our Year 12’s – What does it mean to be in Campion House?

Mimi Crofts:

'To be in Campion for me means, to be a part of another family. Campion is more than just a homeroom, Campion is a group of people that I've spent almost every morning with for the past five years and shared many classes with. Campion is family.'

Isabel Curtin:

'Campion is the best and most inclusive House to be a part of, everyone is like family. It is a house that encourages you to always do and be your best, by encouraging you and helping to encourage others to do the same.'

Sophie Chew:

'I think being in Campion means being persistent and a team player. Campion doesn't put all of the stress on winning. It's always great to win, but trying to exceed your own expectations and support your team in the process seems to be valued more.'

On Thursday 31 March, Campion House celebrated and remembered our founder, Edmund Campion, a martyr who was persecuted because of his passion and loyalty towards his Catholic faith. We look to Edmund Campion for inspiration, ultimately working towards fulfilling our House motto ‘faith and courage’.

The day kicked off with video messages delivered through homeroom which included an insight into what students love about Campion, as well as expressing their thanks to their homeroom teachers. Staff and students then came together to celebrate who we are as a House; a passionate, lively, talented, caring and generous group of people. Students then gathered in their year groups to share a meal.

After the school day ended, to support those in need, students volunteered their time to cook for Shopfront. A huge thank you to all Campion staff, and the Maintenance and Sound team for their help on the day.
