Prep
We have completed our first ever term of school! Woo hoo!
All the prep teachers are so proud of how far they have come in the last 10 weeks and can’t wait to see what the rest of the year has in store for us!
Inquiry
Throughout the last 2 weeks of term, prep students have been inquiring into the Australian Animals: koala, kangaroo, echidna, kookaburra and platypus. They have explored what they eat, what features they have, special things they can do and the habitat they can be found in. They have enjoyed participating in craft activities, watching fact videos and sharing what they know about each of the animals.
Mini Expo
To finalise the inquiry, students created fantastic posters on their favourite Australian animal including the name, a picture and a sentence about their chosen animal. They then took part in their first Mini Expo around the Prep Learning Community where they were able to see what the other classes had completed and ask questions to their peers. They had so much fun walking through the space and showing off their amazing work to others.
Colour Explosion
On Wednesday, prep students participated in their first Grayling colour explosion! They loved running through the course and having dry paint splattered on them. They demonstrated ALL the school values during this event but especially our value of Daring, as they all showed great courage when running around the oval and trying something new.
We hope you all have a wonderful holiday break and a wonderful Easter!
