Senior Years

Leave room for Dessert
The Year 12 Food Technology Class are well and truly exploring and developing their food-related interests. Food impacts on every aspect of daily life, and when it comes to a wedding, food is perhaps secondary only to the bride's dress and venue with hours of thought are poured into.
The Year 12 class have done a great job of exploring recipes and processing techniques suitable for the theme of a wedding dessert bar. And since we eat with our eyes as well as our stomach, have a feast on their amazing results.
Year 12 Business and Enterprise excursion
On Thursday 14 March, the Year 12 Business and Enterprise class were fortunate to visit a very successful South Australian business. Maggie Beer has operated her restaurant, farm and food manufacturing business in the Barossa (near Nuriootpa) for over 40 years and her high quality brand is iconic. In a detailed Q & A session, Assistant Manager Dianne Wooldridge discussed the business operations, marketing and the influence of economic factors on the business and then generously answered the students’ questions.
The opportunity for the students to apply business theory to real business situations is invaluable and we are extremely grateful to the staff at Maggie Beer for making us feel so welcome and to provide such an enriching learning experience.
