Planning activities

On Thursday 28 of February, all members of the 2019 Student Action Team (SAT) went to the Mawson Centre to participate in a ‘Planning Day’. This day was an opportunity for all of us to meet, to make new friends and learn new things about our peers as well as ourselves. As part of the day, we did a lot of team building activities as well as splitting into our groups. These groups are: ‘Spiritual and Community Building’, ‘Charity and Service’ and ‘Media, Communication and Event Promotion’ we worked together on team building activities as well as planning multiple events for the year.

Some of the activities included fun games where we worked in teams and others, like Bingo, where we had to ask questions about each other, so we could get to know each other. Engaging in these activities enabled us to build new bonds and learn more about one another. After the activities and a filling recess, we as a group came up a huge list of all the activities and fundraisers, that will be held at Endeavour this year. We also decided on which charities we will be supporting through our fundraising.

One of the activities that we decided to continue from last year was Open Mic Mondays. Open Mic Mondays is one of the morning activities that gives our students with musical talent a chance to play in front of the school before Care Group. This is usually led by a group of enthusiastic music students, soloists or even a school band.

Overall, the day was a huge success and would have not been able to happen without the help of the SAT Captains and Staff.
