Great Expectations - Cowboy Cadetship Camps

The first three of the Cowboy Cadetships have been a roaring success with our students excelling in their capacity to take on skills associated with dealing with horses, cattle and survival. The two-day hands on experience keeps them completely engaged as they spend time on a working Equine operation where horses are trained, cattle are treated and produce is collected. This amazing experience is one of a kind so we are very fortunate to be able to utilize this resource. Three groups of young men have already taken part and three more groups will be attending in May

Watch this space for more.

Safe Minds for Parents

We had our first of three morning tea sessions dealing with Safe Minds for Parents on the 19th of March in the Performance Arts Centre foyer. It was a well-attended event and we look forward to the next two sessions on the 7th and 21st of May. Safe Minds is an early intervention program put together by Headspace for the benefit of school communities. If you would like to join these sessions please feel free to come along at 9am. Coffee, tea and some light refreshments will be provided.
