Grandparent's Day

On Friday 26 July, Holy Trinity celebrated Grandparent's Day which coincided with the feast day of Jesus' grandparents, Sts Joachim and Anne.

We were delighted to have such a large number of visitors to our school for the morning. Grandparents and family members participated in the Liturgy, viewed their grandchildren's classrooms then joined together for morning tea in the Library Quadrangle.

Thank you to everyone who attended, the response and attendance for the day was overwhelming and the students certainly enjoyed having family members present for this occasion.

Vinnies Sleepout

The Junior Conference of St Vincent de Paul is holding a Sleepout at Holy Trinity School Hall from Friday 9 August to Saturday 10 August. The Primary representatives for Mini Vinnies and Year 5 and 6 children have also been invited to participate. Secondary students will be running activities on the night and will also be staying for the sleepout. Students will be supervised by Mr Gaias, Mrs Gaias, Mrs McLachlan and Mrs Dolbel for the duration of the Sleepout.

The aims of the sleepout are:

1. To give students an opportunity to spend time appreciating what it would be like to live without the privileges they have.

2. To give students the opportunity to celebrate the works of St Vincent de Paul.

3. To raise money for those less fortunate in our world.

Arrival time: Friday 9 August between 6:00pm - 6:30pm.

Departure time: Saturday 10 August between 7:30am – 8.00am.

Accommodation: Holy Trinity School Hall

What to bring: Students will require sleeping bags, swags, pillows and suitable clothing for sleeping and participating in activities.

Food: Food will be supplied; we are trying to replicate the experience of the homeless. Dinner will be soup and a bread roll. Breakfast will not be provided.

Cost: A donation of $10.00. This will be donated to the local St Vincent de Paul Chapter as part of our ongoing relationship.

Please ensure permission notes have been returned to teachers to let them know of your child's involvement in the Sleepout.
