Welcome and Induction Mass

Tomorrow, 5 February at 9:15am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, students from Years 3 to 10 will welcome a new school year and also see the Induction of our 2019 School Leaders. All families are invited and welcome to attend the Mass. Our Primary and Secondary School Leaders will receive their badges and a special blessing. We wish them all the best in these roles and may they fulfil their duties throughout the year with care and concern. A morning tea will follow the Mass for the student leaders and their families outside of the church.

A prayer for the beginning of the

new school year

God of wisdom and might,

we praise you for the wonder of our being,

for mind, body and spirit.

Be with our students as they begin

a new school year.

Bless them and their teachers and staff.

Give the strength and grace as their bodies grow;

wisdom and knowledge to their minds

as they search for understanding;

and peace and zeal to their hearts.

We ask this through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.

Father Roel

Fr Roel is leaving the Inverell Parish this week to become the  Administer at the Cathedral in Armidale. We wish him all the very best in his new role and thank him for all he has done. There will be a small presentation to Fr Roel at the Induction Mass on Wednesday.
