DIWALI FESTIVAL OF LIGHT CELEBRATION – FRIDAY, 11 November at the School

We are excited to celebrate Diwali at CJC again. There will be something fun for everyone – we will have Indian dance lessons, a lantern lightening ceremony, Rangoli drawings (Mandalas), vegetarian samosa and Gulab Jamun (Indian syrup dumplings).  Here are some photos of CJC’s previous Diwali celebration to inspire you.  We hope to see you there for the fun and celebrations.  A volunteer roster will be circulated by your class convenor shortly.

World Cup Australia vs. France live Match Transmission: Calling all soccer fans. The match between the Australian Socceroo’s and Les Bleus will be shown on the CJC big screen live on 23 November at 6am.  May the best team win!

Pains au Chocolat for Term 4

Usually we sell icy poles in Term 4. However, due to supplier issues we are not able to source icy poles. So, pains au chocolat for $3 will be back every Friday for term 4 other than on 11 November.  Please bring the exact change. Your class convenor will let you know when it’s your class’ turn to provide volunteers.

CJC's End of Year Party:  volunteer call-out!

The End of Year Party is scheduled for Friday, 2 December from 3.30pm to 6.30pm. We are looking for some volunteers to help us put on a great event! Whether you can help an hour next Wednesday night or 2 hours during a random week-end, you are welcome to join!  The aim is to organise an exciting event for our CJC community and the more people can help, the more fun it will be along the way and on the day! Lots of tasks can be done from the comfort of your home, in your own time. We are looking for people to help with the general organisation (no skills required), the silent auction / raffle (communication, people or IT skills required) and for people with special talents (to run a stand or a show on the day). To let us know that your are interested in giving a helping hand,  please click on the link.

Here's a little insight from someone who's participated in many events:

"Volunteering is such a fun way to make connections with other parents and expand our friendship network while helping our school.  It is rewarding and loads of fun!"
