Science Update

Term 4 has been another busy and exciting term in Science. Students have been able to participate in a range of hands-on activities and apply their learning!

 

Year 7

The Year 7's have been studying 'Classification & Ecosystems' in Term 4. Below is some of our wonderful students creating their own Food Webs!

Year 9 Selectives

In Forensic Science we have been learning about Blood and Handwriting analysis! 

 

Year 10

The Year 10's have been studying 'Energy' in Term 4. Students completed a range of experiments to learn about calculating Kinetic Energy, Gravitational Potential Energy and Elastic Potential Energy!

Year 10 Selectives

In the Lego Space Challenge elective, students have been working on building and coding various robots including a colour sorter, puppy and robotic arm!

VCE Sciences

Chemistry students have been practicing their titration techniques in class this term, as part of their Unit 2 AOS 2 practical work.

The Chemistry students also completed their first practical investigation as part of their Unit 2 AOS 3 SAC. Students were assigned a group to work with and a topic to investigate relating to various effects on pH.

We want to wish all Year 11 and Year 10 students' good luck on their final exams which will take place over the next few weeks. 

 

Students at ECSC have worked very hard this year and should be very proud of their efforts!
