School Wide Positive Behaviour

College Implementation of School Wide Positive Behaviours

Throughout the term we have continued to implement School Wide Positive Behaviours (SWPB) across the college. This includes a weekly focus from our behaviour matrix.

These are the behaviours that we will focus on this term:

Week 1 – Respect All – ‘I will use positive and inclusive language.’ – Right words - Right place

Week 2 to 4 – Embrace Learning – I will arrive to class on time with all the correct

learning equipment..

Week 5 to 6 – Respect All – ‘I will follow directions given by staff in a timely manner.’

Week 7 to 9 –  Respect All – ‘I will use all facilities appropriately taking care to leave them clean and tidy’.

Week 10 to 12  - Respect All – ‘I respect myself and other people.’

Middle and Senior Sub-School – Focus for Term 4

  • Respect All – Every Person and Every Space
  • Uniform
  • Punctuality – Re-Teaching routines around moving when the music starts and the bell means the start of class – Every Minute Counts
  • Attendance – Every Day Counts
  • Appropriate use of the inside and outside space
  • Extra-Curricular activities – Such as House Events, excursions and lunchtime activities.

Building House Culture

Our teachers and sub-school leaders have continued to award House Points throughout the term to positively reinforce our expected behaviours across the college. I can say,  it is a close race at the moment between the Houses and the ultimate House Cup is very much in the balance.

School Wide Positive Behaviours - Social skills and behaviour must be taught and maintained like academic skills
