CRICKET BLAST update
Unfortunately our Year 3&4 Cricket Blast day had to be cancelled Friday week ago, with Kooyong Park ovals being deemed too wet for any type of sport to play by the council. It was not the news our eager team members wanted to hear, but all accepted it was far too wet after all the rain we'd had…
Tomorrow we hope our Year 5&6 teams do get their chance to participate. Our three teams will head off to Kooyong Park to play in this Dendy inter-school Cricket Blast tournament. We wish them a fantastic day of cricket and would like to thank the parents that have offered to support staff for this inter-school event.

BIG DAY OUT AT REGIONAL HOOPTIME
It was an exciting week for our Junior All Star Girls basketball team who finally got to play at the next level of competition; HoopTime Regionals, held at Waverley Stadium. All ten girls should be extremely proud of the way they represented their school and Dendy District, with some wonderful sportsmanship, attitude, support and positivity shown over the day. The girls played 3 competitive pool games over the morning, winning 2 out of the 3. Their fourth game was then played as a ‘friendly’, prior to the Quarter Finals. From coming second in their Pool A to Toorak PS, our girls faced top of Pool B; St Joan of Arc in their Quarter Final. It was a must-win situation to secure a top 2 spot for State Finals…. And wow; the girls didn’t disappoint! From the first jump-ball the girls gave it their all, managing to secure some early points on the board. Much to all spectating parents and Mrs Thompson’s joy, the team came away with a 17 to 6 win! Congratulations girls! They now get to play in the HoopTime State Finals on Monday 21st November. We wish them all the very best for this big day also.
A special thank you goes to the many parents that were able to help with the transport of the team to the venue and for helping cheer them all on over the day. We’d also like to say a big thank you to our assistant coach; Chris O’Brien and the many scorers over the day. A fabulous team effort for a wonderful team outcome!
RETURN of all BORROWED SPORT SINGLETS, FOOTY JERSEYS & SOCCER SHIN GUARDS.
If we can please ask all families to have a good search at home & ensure their child has handed back all borrowed Football, HoopTime, Winter Sport & Lightning Prem sports singlets/jerseys & shin guards please. We still have a few shin guards & jerseys to be returned. Please ask your child to hand them back into the office for Mrs Thompson to collect. THANK YOU!
