Student News

A big week or two for some fantastic sporting performances and achievements from our students. Firstly, congratulations to Year 7 student Molly Walker who competed in the shotput in the All Schools Athletics Championships at Lakeside Stadium in Melbourne last weekend. Molly was the only country student and she threw 7.25m and came 12th.

Year 8 student Chloe Adams has qualified for the 2023 Australian Age Swimming Championships for the 50m backstroke. This is a great reward for her dedication to many extra hours of training and competing to improve her PB. All the best Chloe!

At the recent Hamilton Sportswoman of the Year Awards night we had several College students nominated, including Poppy Austin who was rewarded for her amazing year in cross country with the Foundation Members Award. Several students were also part of the successful Glenelg Region Hockey Association Under 13 team which won the Team Award section. This team was also coached by College parent Julie Templeton. Congratulations to all.

World Karate Federation Tournament

Congratulations to Khem Ressom in Year 10 who competed at the World Karate Federation Tournament (WKF) last month.  Khem won two trophies, one for Kata (performing a sequence of karate moves) and the other for sparring, and also gained his solid senior black belt (Gashuku). This is a wonderful achievement.
