Advent

In Chapel we continue to explore each week of the Advent season. As we approach Christmas these themes are symbolized in the candles: Hope (purple), Peace (purple), Joy (pink), Love (purple) and Christmas Day (white).

As we approach Christmas, life tends to get busier, but the advent invitation is to slow down and not get so caught up in the consumerism and to prepare ourselves to receive again God’s gift of his son Jesus. God with us, Emmanuel. We will celebrate this at Christmas Chapels on 5 December and in a different way at Reach Out Community (ROC) Christmas Carols on 1 December from 6pm. Please come along and enjoy the sausage sizzle and singing.

Pet Blessing (Reach Out Community)

A few weeks back we enjoyed a special opportunity for some students to bring their pets and families for a picnic and pet blessing. The weather was great and we enjoyed a delightful evening with our God given pets that bring joy and delight into our homes.

The Giving Tree

Thank you to those who have already donated. As we continue to think of those who are not as fortunate as ourselves, “the Giving Tree” will continue to be available from until 9 December in the CPA foyer for your donations.

This year we are supporting our local Uniting Church community service agency “Uniting” in Broadmeadows. There will be boxes around the Christmas tree to take donations of unwrapped toys or shopping items as per the below recommendations:
