Highlights from the latest PFA Meeting
At the August PFA meeting, it was reported that the Rotary Raffle ticket sales were at a value of $10 000, with not all of the money in yet. While this is lower than previous years, where we have raised $16 000, it is still a great effort by everyone. As 100% of the money raised comes directly back to the school, I’m sure it will be greatly appreciated and put to very good use.
The school 2nd Hand Uniform shop made $70 in sales at its June opening and $280 in August. The shop also received lots of donated clothes to sell. More are needed for the end of year sale, so if your kids have grown out of any uniform, or once the Year 12’s have finished with theirs (after Speech Night), please consider donating them to the shop. Proceeds are going towards prizes for the Five Minds for the Future Awards at Speech Night at the end of the year. If you need any uniform, there is currently a wide range available from: shirts, skirts, sports tops and jackets, bags, boys shorts, trousers and dresses.
Paver orders for the year have now closed. Thank you to all those who purchased them. They have been ordered and should arrive soon!
Any new orders placed will be included in the 2018 Paver Drive.
Lastly, the Inaugural South East Feast is coming up on September 16, from 10am till 4pm. The PFA will be helping out on the day and welcome anyone with an hour or two to spare to assist the school as well. Email Mr Butler if you can help out at keithbutler@nossalhs.vic.edu.au . More community groups are still needed, as well as Sponsors. Its a great advertising opportunity for local businesses for very small outlay, so if you have a business, please consider this. We look forward to seeing as many of you there as possible. Bring your family, invite your friends. Let’s make this a very successful day for the school!
