Canberra CareersXpo
Cowra High School students were recently given a fantastic opportunity, thanks to Cowra Rotary Club, to attend the Canberra CareersXpo 2018 held at Exhibition Park. The club generously sponsored the cost of a coach which allowed 50 students from Years 9 to 12 to travel to Canberra and attend the CareersXpo at no cost to the student.
The Canberra CareersXpo specialises in the provision of valuable career opportunities to secondary students throughout the ACT and surrounding NSW schools network. The CareersXpo brings together a broad range of quality career and post school employment options. There was over 80 local and national exhibitors, including Federal and State Government institutions, tertiary institutions (local, state and overseas), employer organisations, numerous individual businesses and career placement organisations providing a wide range of information sources.
Cowra High School students had a fabulous time emerging themselves in all the activities available and explored the CareersXpo with enthusiasm. Many thanks go to Cowra Rotary Club for providing such an invaluable opportunity for our students. Thanks also to Don from Cowra Bus Service and Mrs Kerrie Smith for your assistance with this experience.
