Cultural Dress Up

Last week we celebrated Cultural Diversity Week 2023! The theme this year was: 

Our Past. Our Future: Celebrating and reflecting on the contributions of Victoria's multicultural communities.

Our students and staff were invited to dress or bring something along that is reflective of their culture and this facilitated classroom discussions about:

What is culture? 

What are our differences and similarities? 

Our culture may be identified by how we dress, what we eat, our faith, celebrations we share as a family and can mean different things to different people.

We are lucky and proud to live in a diverse and multicultural community!

Multicultural inclusion at Monash SDS means that all students and staff, regardless of their backgrounds, beliefs, or experiences, have a voice and are included and accepted.
