Grade 5/6

Mr Wright and Mr Ward

Writing Day

Our writing day was a huge success. The students applied themselves and created amazing stories based on our theme "Hanging Around". Students were able to create and publish their stories within the time frame, which they should be pleased of. This gave them the sense of a deadline, promoting time management skills alongside with our writing. The students loved the theme, dress ups, the relaxed nature of the day and how the classroom was set up. We believe this is a successful concept in the 5/6 room and we are proud of all students who applied themselves. Well done!

Integrated Studies

We are in the final week of our topic "Museums in Motion". Students are putting final touches on their dioramas. We could not be more pleased with how the students have worked and the effort they have put into their projects. We are excited to show these off to the whole school and any guests who can make it Thursday!

Grand Prix

What a fantastic day all students had last Thursday at the Melbourne Grand Prix. We ventured down bright and early where our students participated in many activities around the course. Quantum Victoria organised and provided the day, which we are very appreciative of. They had their own STEM stall with 3D printing, Bicarb soda rockets and reaction testing on iPads.

Student were able to watch Porsche and Supercars drive around the Albert Park track. The noise was incredible, but our students managed with earmuffs and other protection.

Lastly, we would like to congratulate all our students from demonstrating our school values all day. A huge thank you to all volunteers for the day, we could not have run the day without you and finally to Mr Wright for liaising with Quantum, thank you!

Division Athletics

Well done to all 5/6s who participated at the Division Athletics at Llanberris. You all tried your hearts out and did an outstanding job representing the school. Well done to all who got places and personal bests! Good luck to the students who will move on to the next stage!
