The Best Thing About Term One...

We have had a fantastic Term 1 in the 3/4 unit, but boy are we looking forward to the holidays after all our hard work!  We have had loads of fun getting to know our new classmates and teachers, and making the most of our learning time together. We have been finishing up our literacy work on Little Turtle and The Sea by writing a text response, a diary entry from the point of view of Little Turtle. We have linked our maths learning to our integrated studies focus, with students looking at timelines, and the main voyage of their explorers in preparation for the reports they will be presenting to their classmates at the end of term.

Our Grand Prix excursion was a smashing success (literally for some of us who got to witness a collision on the practise track!). We spent a very long day checking out practise racing sessions and qualifying races, as well as getting up close to some shiny new cars. There was live entertainment, a family fun zone, and a Mario Movie world. We were also lucky enough to get some fantastic freebies. It made for a very slow and tired Friday, but we were all very happy to have had such a great day out together. A huge thanks goes out to Mr Wright for all his work organising the event, and to our fabulous parent helpers who volunteered their time to come along to help out.

Congratulations to everyone on an amazing start to the school year. Wishing everyone a Happy Easter, and a safe and restful holiday.
