Anti-Bullying

At St. Fidelis, we believe that it is the responsibility of members of the community – “students, parents, staff and clergy to respond to the Gospel call in offering care and support to enable each member to grow in their journey towards wholeness. This belief, grounded in the Christian faith, requires us to recognise and affirm the innate dignity, worth and uniqueness of individual persons”

Consequently, we believe that all members of St. Fidelis’ community have the right to feel that they are in a safe and secure environment. This can be best achieved through common understandings that are shared between home and school.

Our programs are designed to promote this feeling, as well as tolerance, respect for others, self-esteem and assertiveness.

Our Positive Behaviour Management Policy encourages personal responsibility for our own behaviour, and the development of positive relationships.

Speech Pathology for Schools

Hi everyone! My name is Lizzy Williams and I am working as a speech pathologist at St Fidelis this year. I am from Speech Pathology for Schools, a company providing holistic school-based speech pathology support. We work collaboratively with the whole school community to improve student outcomes.

My role at St Fidelis involves identifying students (primarily Foundation - Grade 2) who would benefit from support in collaboration with teaching staff and providing target support in the areas of literacy and oral language. This assists students to develop their spoken language, reading and spelling abilities to support their learning. I will also be working to build the capacity of teachers, ESOs and the parent community.

You can contact me with any questions at spsspeech@sfmoreland.catholic.edu.au

I am working two days a week on Wednesdays and Thursdays. I look forward to continuing working with the whole community at this wonderful school this year!
