Griffith University - Pathways to Medicine information session

Griffith is hosting a series of information sessions to help students learn more about various pathways into the University’s Doctor of Medicine. Attendees will find out everything they need to know about Griffith’s admission criteria and selection process, as well as application deadlines, the Griffith University Multiple Stations Admissions Assessment (GUMSAA) and the Graduate Entry Medical School Admissions system (GEMSAS). They’ll also learn about Griffith’s accelerated program for high-achieving school leavers, which offers guaranteed entry to eligible candidates.

UQ Medicine Information Evening: Save the Date

Learn about studying Medicine at UQ. Hear from leading medical experts, UQ alumni and current students on the changing medical climate, how to apply for medicine at UQ, and tips for success.

This event is open to Year 12 students and their parents/guardians.

Vocational Education and Training News 

Welcome to the start of VET programs in the College this year.

There is a lot of action in this space at present.

Students need to make sure they have actioned the following with their VET teachers moving forward:

1. Fully complete the documents that have been handed to you in relation to enrolments and your induction. (extra forms are at the VET/Careers Office- to be handed to your VET teacher. The induction book is also located on Moodle under your course)
2. Complete your USI and email this to VET@marash.qld.edu.au. (Make sure you keep it is a secure place as this will be a number that you will need to access for the rest of your life)

Change of Process 

All students who wish to conduct work experience, secure a SAT or change existing days/details/subject changes, follow the process below:

1. Email - VET@marash.qld.edu.au  to request a meeting 
2. You will receive with a nominated time suitable to attend this meeting
3. Please be prompt as other students will be booked before and after your appointment.

(Please do not just turn up during class time without an appointment)

ANU Open Day - Saturday 18 March 2023

ANU is holding their Open Day on Saturday 18 March 2023. This is your chance to learn about life after Year 12 – what it’s like to live, study and play at university. ANU direct applications are open from March to May, so you might even score an early offer – and take some of the stress out of your final year. Don’t miss it – take the whole family!

With heaps of tours, information sessions and activities, ANU Open Day can help you answer these questions and more. If you’re not sure what you want to study at uni, there’s also the chance to meet current students and find out what they think of their courses.
